During my latest trip to Thailand, I decided to skip Bangkok and just to enjoy my time on a tropical island, with lush vegetation, palm trees and white sandy beaches. You may have heard about Phuket, but I am sure you won't know about the exclusive insiders tip Nai Yang Beach. Far away from the tourist crowds, in a national park is my favourite spots of Phuket. The Slate Nai Yang.

Nai Yang Beach, combined with Mai Khao Beach to the north, is the longest stretch of sandy beach on the island, covering 9 km. It is here that you will find giant sea turtles and throughout the dry season, October through February, this is where they come ashore to lay their eggs. One of the activities of the Songkran Festival in April is to release turtles back to the sea. There is great swimming and snorkeling along this beach with access to Phuket Campground and Nai Yang National Park. There's great golfing east at Blue Canyon Country Club and the airport is out this way too.

The Coqoon SPA of the hotel is just insane.

My favourite dinner was at the "Black Ginger" in the resort. Not only me, but the whole Tripadvisor community agreed and voted the restaurant as one of the best dining spots of the whole island.

A huge bathtub plus a private pool, what else do I need? ;)

Thanks for the fabulous time. I will definitely come again!
